Product Introduction

The LPG series high-speed centrifugal spray dryer is the most widely used process in the liquid-process shaping and drying industry. It is particularly well suited for producing powdered or granular products from emulsions, suspensions, solutions, and pumpable pastes. When stringent requirements are imposed on product properties such as particle-size distribution, moisture content, bulk density, and particle shape, spray drying is an exceptionally appropriate process. Our plant has achieved design and manufacturing capabilities for large-scale centrifugal spray dryers with a diameter of 11 meters and a feed rate of 10 tons per hour. We tailor the equipment configuration to suit the specific characteristics of each material.

Working Principle

The feed liquid is fed into a centrifugal atomizer mounted at the top of the drying tower, where a high-speed rotating atomizing disc breaks it down into extremely fine droplets. Simultaneously, hot air, distributed in a spiral pattern and uniformly throughout the drying tower via a hot-air distributor located at the tower’s top, flows in co-current contact with the atomized droplets, facilitating rapid evaporation of moisture and achieving instant drying to produce the final product. The dried product is continuously discharged from the bottom of the drying tower and through a cyclone separator (bag filter), while the exhaust gas is vented by an induced-draft fan.

Product Features

  • Fast drying speed, suitable for heat-sensitive materials;
  • The product is in the form of spherical granules, with uniform particle size, excellent flowability, good solubility, high purity, and superior quality.
  • The product is formed in a single step, eliminating the need for crushing and screening; process control is fully automated, resulting in a simple production process that is easy to operate.
  • The particle size, bulk density, and moisture content of the product can be adjusted within a certain range.
  • It has a wide range of applications: depending on the material properties, it can be used for hot-air drying or cold-air granulation, demonstrating strong adaptability to various materials.

Material adaptation

  • Food industry: whole milk powder, gelatin, cocoa powder, milk replacer, egg white (yolk), etc.
  • Foods and plants: oats, chicken broth, coffee, instant tea, seasoned meat spices, protein, etc.
  • Carbohydrates: corn syrup, corn starch, glucose, pectin, maltose, potassium sorbate, etc.
  • Pharmaceuticals: traditional Chinese medicine extracts, pharmaceutical gums, yeast, vitamins, antibiotics, amylase, and others.
  • Plastic resins: AB, ABS emulsion, phenolic resin, formaldehyde resin, polyvinyl chloride, etc.
  • Chemical industry: basic dyes, dye intermediates, catalysts, amino acids, precipitated silica, etc.
  • Ceramics: alumina, ceramic tile materials, magnesium oxide, talc, etc.
